Quantum, Inc. is governed by a nine-member Board of Directors comprised of community leaders in business and other professions. Board members serve a three-year term and meet once a month. Responsibilities include assisting with business development and expansion involving tasks relating to fiscal and legal accountability, governance authority and strategic planning.

LAURA LEE BOCADE
PRESIDENT
 
Laura is currently the Talent Manager at DIRTT Environmental Solutions.  She formerly served as director of operations at Savannah Quarters and is a member of the Savannah Chapter of the Society for Human Resources Management.  She completed her undergraduate degree from Central Michigan University and her MBA from the University of Phoenix.
 
SR. BARBARA SHIMKUS
VICE PRESIDENT
 
Sister Barbara is currently a counselor at St. Mary's Home and enjoys reading, photography and walking.  She has been a member of the Quantum Board since it started.  She holds a Masters of Science in Counseling from Loyola College in Baltimore, MD.  Her favorite vacation spot is San Francisco, CA.
 
SAMMY STRODE
SECRETARY
 
An original Quantum Board member, Sammy has held an office during much of his tenure.  He holds a Bachelor of Arts in History from Armstrong Atlantic State University.  When not at work at Carter Thompson Insurance, Sammy enjoys golfing in his spare time.
 
GEORGE MOSER
TREASURER
 
George puts his number-crunching skills to good use as the Treasurer for the Quantum Board. His hometown is Langhorne, PA and he spends his free time as a musician. George's favorite vacation spot is London, England.

 
DANIEL CROOK
 
Daniel is an associate at Hunter, MacLean, Exley & Dunn, P.C., and is the newest member of the Quantum Board.  He is a 2003 graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, with a Bachelor of Science  in Public Policy with Highest Honors.  In 2006, Daniel earned his Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in Chicago, Illinois.
 
JEWEL DANIELS HERRON
 
Jewel is President of Daniels Communications Group. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Media Communications and Public Relations from Hampton University in VA. She also currently teaches marketing and entrepreneurship courses at Armstrong Atlantic State University.
 
NICK LAYBOURN

Nick is an associate at Hunter, MacLean, Exley & Dunn, P.C. and  was named one of Georgia's Super Lawyers Rising Stars.  He is a 2001 graduate of Clemson University, with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing.  In 2005, he earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law.
 
SANDI LOWE

Sandi is the owner of the local business, Colonial Quilts, and joined the Quantum Board in 2010.  With her brother working in Quantum Catering, she was eager to help shape the services and direction of the Quantum businesses.  The graduate of Memorial Day School attended Mercer University and has become a strong advocate for independence and opportunities for adults with challenges.  Sandi thoroughly enjoys time with her growing family.
 
MARIA PONCY

Maria has a close tie to Quantum, Inc. She has worked in Quantum Specialized Assembly on the Gulfstream Aerospace contract since 2004. She is a hard-worker and her attention to detail is what landed her the job working on wiring assemblies for Gulfstream! In her spare time she enjoys shopping, bowling and going to the movies.
